Tim Wendel

Tim Wendel is an award-winning novelist and journalist. His novels include Castro’s Curveball and Red Rain, the latter to be published this fall. His other books include The New Face of Baseball, which was named Top History Book by the Latino Literary Awards; Far From Home, a new coffee-table book from National Geographic; and the recently released limited-edition book Buffalo: Home of the Braves. Two years ago, Tim co-authored The Snow That Burned Our Hearts, which was the runner-up in the Good Morning America/Simon & Schuster "The Story of My Life" memoir contest. His stories have appeared in The Potomac Review and Gargoyle, and his articles have been published in The New York Times, Washington Post, USA Weekend, Esquire, Washingtonian and GQ. His columns appear on the USA Today op-ed page, where he is on the Board of Contributors. Wendel teaches fiction and nonfiction writing at Johns Hopkins University, where he was honored with the 2004 Professional Achievement Award. For more information, visit www.timwendel.com.
